• Jill Sherman has been appointed media editor at The Times. Currently Whitehall editor at the paper, she begins her new role on Monday
• Aimee Meade has been appointed deputy blogs editor at Huffington Post UK. Meade starts her role next week
• Andrew Whitaker has been appointed political editor at the Sunday Herald. He begins the role in October
• Sadie Nine has been announced as the new breakfast show host at BBC Essex. She currently hosts the morning show at the station and replaces James Whale, who departed last week
• Jack Austin has been appointed sports reporter at the INDEPENDENT. He was previously a content producer at talkSPORT

• Here & Now, a free local magazine for Worthing, West Sussex has launched. Mike Cottee is the publisher of the title
• Aisling Keenan has been appointed editor at Xposé magazine
• Glen Fox has been appointed editor at POCKET GAMER. Fox was previously deputy editor at the website
• Alex Robbins has been appointed used car editor across Haymarket brands What Car?, Autocar and PistonHeads.com. He was previously consumer editor for The Daily Telegraph‘s Cars supplement
• Georgia Trevitt has been appointed junior writer at Star magazine
• Olivia Spurrell has been appointed cookery assistant at Good Housekeeping. She replaces Madeline Burkitt who was recently promoted to cookery writer
• Sophie Bronstein has been appointed editorial assistant at Superdrug’s DARE magazine
• Yattar Yattar Magazine has ceased publication after the passing of its editor
• Murray Stassen has left his role as deputy editor at Music Week
