- ITV News has appointed Rohit Kachroo to UK editor. Rohit was previously the network’s Africa correspondent
- Editor of the Irish Independent, and former editor of The Herald, Claire Grady has announced that she has decided to step down from her role and is leaving the Independent News and Media group with immediate effect
- Two senior journalists on the Independent and London Evening Standard have been allocated new roles, the Guardian reported. Chris Blackhurst has been appointed as multi-media head of business for all the titles, and James Ashton, the current head of business, becomes executive editor
- Senior writer at The Independent Archie Bland has announced via Twitter that he will be joining The Guardian’s Saturday paper
- Lewis Deakin has been appointed junior reporter at The Ross Gazette, the publication announced via Twitter
- Leicester Mercury editor Richard Bettsworth has resigned after three years at the publication. He will be succeeded by Kevin Booth, the current editor of the Burton Daily Mail, who takes up his new role from 8 September
- Drew Cochrane has decided to take early retirement from his post as editor of the Largs & Millport Weekly News after 40 years at the title. He will leave the business at the end of September.
Fashion, Lifestyle & Entertainment
- Laura Weir has announced via Twitter that she is to join Vogue as fashion features editor. She is currently the fashion features director at The Sunday Times Style magazine
- Miranda Thompson has been appointed senior writer at Woman’s Weekly
- Louise Donovan has been promoted to staff writer at the ShortList. She was previously the editorial assistant for the title
- Becci Ireland has been appointed senior writer at Spell magazine
- Stuart MacLennan has been appointed editor at The Scrum magazine
Business & Finance
- Aceville Publications has appointed Jerome Smail editor of Hotel Business magazine while Sarah-Jane Lampe has been appointed editor of Craft Business
- Naomi Rainey has announced via Twitter that she has joined The Yorkshire Post as a business reporter

Duncan MacRae has announced via Twitter that he has been appointed chief editor of TechWeekEurope
