- As reported last week, Trinity Mirror has confirmed the launch of the national newspaper New Day on 29th February. The paid-for paper will be published Monday to Friday and will be edited by Alison Phillips
- Simon Peach has been appointed chief football writer at the Press Association. He was previously a sports journalist at the news service
- Toby Meyjes has been appointed news reporter at Metro UK. He was previously digital publisher/deputy news editor at the Bristol Post
- Andrew Georgeson has been appointed reporter at the Hinckley Times
- Bethan Marsh has been appointed reporter at the Barnet & Potters Bar Times
- Luke Jarmyn has been appointed reporter at the South Wales Argus and Free Press newspapers
- Sebastian Richards has been appointed reporter at the Worcester News

- Real Radio XS will rebrand next month to become XS Manchester, while Justin Lee Collins has joined the station for a new weekend show.
- Nation Hits is to rebrand back to its original name Swansea Bay Radio on Tuesday 1st March. Managing Director Martin Mumford says there will be no changes to the format or programming.
- Celebrity chef James Martin is to step down as the host of Saturday Kitchen after 10 years in the role.
- Claire Lloyd has been appointed editor at Homebuilding & Renovating. Previous editor Jason Orme is now editorial director of Centaur Home Interest Media
- Natalie Cornish has been appointed online editor at Fabulous. She was previously acting digital editor at the title
- Aby Dunsby has been appointed features reporter at Travel Weekly. She was previously a staff writer at Square Up Media
- Sophie Ritchie has been appointed features reporter at Good Things
- Shyvonne Thomas has been appointed picture and multimedia editor at Digital Spy. She was previously online galleries editor at the Daily Express

- John Crowley has been appointed editor in chief at the International Business Times UK. He is currently the digital editor at the Wall Street Journal and starts his new position on the 29th March
- Colette Doyle has been appointed editor at Frontier magazine. She has previously held editorships at Business Traveller Middle East in the UAE and Conference & Incentive Travel in London. Additionally Simone Hellyer has been appointed assistant editor at the title
- Christine Murray has been named as the new editor in chief at the Architects’ Journal. She replaces former editor Rory Olcayto who left to become chief executive of Open City. Murray is currently the editor at The Architectural Review. Additionally deputy editor Will Hurst has been promoted to managing editor at the title
- Nadine Buddoo has been appointed news editor at New Civil Engineer. She was previously deputy editor at Ground Engineering
- Scott Thompson has been appointed senior editor at IBS Intelligence. He was previously group editor at FStech and Retail Systems
- James Kenny has been appointed deputy editor at Construction Manager. He was previously deputy editor at Partnerships Bulletin
- Rachel Tucker has been appointed senior reporter at BMJ Builders Merchants Journal

- Spencer Hart has been appointed mobile tech editor at T3.com. He was previously lifestyle and technology writer at the website
