• Sky Sports presenter Jim White has joined talkSPORT and will take over Colin Murray’s weekday slot from September 5th
• The first edition of the Hawick Paper was launched last Friday. The title is edited by Jason Marshall, former editor at the Hawick News
• Jim Wilson will be leaving his role as editor at the Sunday Mail with effect from September 4th. Announcement of his replacement will be made in due course
• Simon Garner has joined the Metro (Online) as head of digital content
• Serena Kutchinsky is to join the New Statesman as digital editor in September. She joins from Newsweek Europe where she is currently digital editor
• Nada Farhoud has been promoted to consumer features editor across the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and Sunday People
• Ste Topping has been appointed reporter at the Wilmslow Guardian
• Gary Ellis has left his role as sports editor at the Lurgan Mail
• Rebecca Taylor has left her role as senior reporter at the Wandsworth Guardian
• Kirsty Bosley has left her role as features writer at the Express & Star and Shropshire Star and gone freelance

• Rebecca Cope has been appointed deputy digital editor at Grazia. She was previously assistant online editor at Harper’s Bazaar
• Carla Griscti has been appointed lifestyle editor at SHEERLUXE. She was previously deputy web editor at Prima
• Giles Kime has been appointed interiors editor at Country Life. He was previously executive editor at Homes & Gardens
• Ellie Walker-Arnott has been appointed digital content producer, entertainment at Time Out London
• Sophie Williamson-Stothert is set to join TrackCar Performance, Historic Racing Technology and Race Tech as assistant editor in September
• Morgan Reardon has been appointed features writer at the Sun on Sunday’s Fabulous magazine
• Metro has expanded its football content by recently launching a new football pull-out, MATCHZONE, which is available every Friday

• Mark Hayhurst has been appointed editor at Sports Insight
• Martin Fullard has been appointed deputy editor at Conference News
• Tara Evans has been appointed digital consumer editor at The Sun. She finishes her current role at Telegraph Money on 27th August but will continue her role at Woman’s Own. She starts her new role at The Sun on 8th September
• James Pearce has been appointed senior reporter at Capacity and Global Telecoms Business. He was previously a reporter at the Mobile News
• Paulina Pielichata has been appointed senior reporter at the London office of Pensions & Investments. She was previously a reporter and online editor at Global Investor/ISF
• Anastassios Adamopoulos has been appointed UK news reporter at Lloyd’s List

Health, science and technology

• There have been a number of changes at POCKETGAMER.biz. Craig Chapple has been appointed editor at the website. He has previously worked as deputy editor at Develop and online editor at Nintendo. Also Ric Cowley has been promoted to news editor and Matt Suckley has been promoted to features editor
•  Gerald Lynch will be leaving his role as editor at Gizmodo to join techradar as associate editor from September 1st
