How brands served up Wimbledon action on Twitter
Novak Djokovic and Serena Willaims emerged this year’s Wimbledon champions but brands, big and small, took the cup when it came to moving all the tennis action online. According to Twitter, there were more than six million Tweets sent over the course of the Wimbledon fortnight. One million of them were from the Djokovic vs. Roger Federer match. While tennis fans were undoubtedly tweeting live updates, marketers successfully used the digital platform to push their message out.
