- The Financial Times has announced a string of new appointments in the wake of Britain’s exit from the European Union. Daniel Dombey has been appointed Brexit editor in addition to his responsibilities as global economy news producer. The FT is also boosting its presence in Brussels. Alan Beattie is moving his leader writing role from London to the Belgian capital next month. Former markets reporter and Lex writer Rochelle Toplensky is also relocating to Brussels to cover European regulation as EU correspondent. Additional changes also include the appointment of former political and diplomatic editor James Blitz as Whitehall editor and Joshua Chaffin as the new UK correspondent exploring the divides in the UK across regions, demographies and wealth
- Sam Russell has been appointed regional reporter, East Anglia at the Press Association. He was previously a senior reporter at the Eastern Daily Press
- Sarah Robinson has been appointed chief reporter at the Weston Mercury & North Somerset Times websites
- Mike Selvey has announced via Twitter that he is to leave his role as cricket correspondent at the Guardian at the end of September
- David Bartlett has left his role as executive editor of live news at the Liverpool Echo
- William Watt has left his role as Blackpool FC writer at the Gazette (Blackpool)
Fashion, lifestyle and entertainment
- Suzannah Ramsdale has been appointed digital editor at InStyle
- Anita Bhagwandas, currently senior beauty editor at Marie Claire, has announced she is leaving the title to go freelance on 26th August
- Chris Burke has been promoted to editor at Rhythm. He was previously deputy editor at the title and replaces former editor Chris Barnes
- Amanda Angus has been appointed digital content editor at Saga
- Lydia Major has been promoted to digital editor at Now having previously been assistant editor (digital)
- Matilda Stanley has been appointed acting deputy style editor at Closer covering Daniela Bellanca’s maternity leave
- Rachel Fellows has been appointed assistant commissioning editor at Esquire. She still retains her other role as PA to the editor in chief
- Natalie Gil has been appointed news writer at REFINERY29
- Rebekah Absalom has been appointed fashion assistant at the Daily Express
- Matthew Drew has been appointed sports editor at Kettle
- Ben Allen has been appointed editorial and fashion assistant at Condé Nast Traveller

- Andy Hillier has been appointed editor at Third Sector. He replaces Stephen Cook who retired in March
- Charlie Schouten has been appointed northern correspondent/data analyst at Construction News. Currently editorial analyst he will take up his new position on 1st August and will be based in Manchester
- Rebecca Smith has been appointed senior reporter at PRWeek. She was previously a web reporter at Management Today
- Tom Ellis has been appointed reporter at Professional Adviser magazine
- Samuel Agini has been appointed reporter at Financial News. He was previously a senior reporter at Alliance News
- Jonathan Jones has been appointed reporter at FE Investegate
- Patrick Whyte has left his role as deputy news editor at TTG

- Tamoor Hussain has been promoted to UK editor at Gamespot UK. He was previously the UK news editor
- Joe Donnelly has been appointed reporter at PC Gamer
- Emily Reynolds has left her role as digital writer at Wired
- Sooraj Shah has left his role as group features editor at V3, Computing and The Inquirer
- Caroline Preece has left her role as staff writer at IT PRO and Cloud Pro to go freelance
