News & current affairs

• Catrin Pascoe has been appointed editor at the Western Mail. She starts her role on March 1st
• Dan Walker is to become a presenter at BBC Breakfast. He starts his role on the 29th February and will replace Bill Turnbull
• Tryst Williams is to become editor at the South Wales Echo. He is currently head of news at Western Mail (Cardiff)
• Paul Rowland has been appointed as editor at WalesOnline. He starts his role in March
• Alec Russell has been appointed Weekend editor at the FT. Peter Spiegel has been appointed news editor at the FT. Both will start their roles in April
• Harriet Collier has been appointed as online reporter at the Evening Standard  website. She was previously a reporter at the News Shopper. Paul Cheston has left his role as court reporter at the Evening Standard
• Joe Thomas has been appointed crime reporter at Liverpool Echo. He was previously the city centre reporter
• Alex Moore has been appointed multimedia reporter at The Star (Sheffield). He was previously a chief reporter role at Rutland & Stamford Mercury, Rutland Times and The Local (Bourne)
• Sean Morrison has been appointed reporter at Sutton Guardian
• Steve Adams has been appointed editor of the Western Telegraph, Milford Mercury and Tivyside Advertiser. He was previously the editor at  the South Wales Guardian. Holly Robinson will remain as the editor of the Western Telegraph until March. She was previously the Edinburgh Evening News crime reporter
• Martyn Ziegler has been appointed chief sports at The Times
• Debi Edward has been appointed China Correspondent at ITV NEWS

• Amy Grier has been appointed features director at Cosmopolitan. She was previously assistant editor at the FT’s How To Spend It
• Natalie Lukaitis has been appointed acting beauty editor at Stylist. She was previously acting beauty editor at Elle
• Andre Bogues has been appointed junior fashion editor at CANDID
• Funmi Fetto has been appointed beauty director at BRIDES. She was previously acting beauty director at Vogue
• Lucy Farmer has been appointed features editor at Women’s Health. She was previously deputy digital editor at Intelligent Life
• Lune Kuipers has been appointed junior fashion editor at Wallpaper*
• Eddie Jordan, Sabine Schmitz, Chris Harris and Rory Reid have been added to the new presenting team at Top Gear. They will join existing presenters Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc
• ES Magazine has unveiled a new look

• Simon Jack has been appointed business editor at the BBC
• Mia Hunt has been appointed market reports editor at Property Week. She was previously deputy editor at Shopping Centre magazine
• Hywel Roberts has been appointed deputy editor at Works Management
• Laura Hedges has been appointed editor at Under 5. She was previously news and content editor at Global Telecoms Business and Capacity
• Freight, the magazine of the Freight Transport Association has been renamed and is now called Freight & Logistics. The title is now edited by Matt Harrington who was appointed at the end of last year
• Lucy de la Pasture has been appointed as technical editor at Crop Production Magazine

• Samantha Loveridge has been appointed as gaming editor at Digital Spy. She starts her role on the 15th February
