News & Current Affairs
- Guardian News & Media has today announced the appointment of Natalie Nougayrède as columnist, leader writer and foreign affairs commentator. Nougayrède, who stepped down as executive editor and managing editor of Le Monde in May 2014, will join the Guardian’s senior editorial team on 1st October 2014.
- Guardian News & Media (GNM) has today announced that Sheffield Doc/Fest’s Charlie Phillips will be joining the Guardian next month to take up the new position of head of documentaries
- Sunday Mail has appointed Julie-Anne Barnes as feature and news writer at the publication
- Worcester News has appointed David Cosgrove as reporter
- Chris Hill has been appointed Archant Norfolk’s new agricultural, food and farming editor working on the Eastern Daily Press and sister titles
- Neil White, editor of the Derby Telegraph, is to become editor-in-chief of all titles within the Derbyshire and East Staffordshire business unit. Emma Turton, deputy editor of the Burton Mail, becomes editor in Burton, reporting to Neil.
- New Statesmen has now moved to a new address which is 3rd Floor, Farringdon Place, 20 Farringdon Road, London, EC1M 3HE
Fashion, Lifestyle & Entertainment
- HELLO! magazine launched HELLO! Fashion Monthly (HFM) on September 6. Priced at £1 and published on a monthly basis, the new title will be available on a multi-channel platform, aimed at a readership of 18-35-year-old women.
- Woman, the magazine brand for 40-plus women has launched a bi-annual fashion focused spin off – Woman Fashion, an 84 page celebration of high street fashion
- Aceville Publications has launched Your Fitness magazine on the 5 Sept replacing Bodyfit magazine
- Kiera Buckley-Jones has been appointed interiors editor at House Beautiful magazine

- Matthew Ritchie has been appointed editor at Charity Times
- MoneySavingExpert.com has appointed Sam McFaul as money writer for the website
- Rebekah Tailor will be leaving her post as editor of Group Leisure magazine and its portfolio on 26 September. Her replacement is yet to be announced.
- Rachel Lawler has joined Retail Express as reporter
Health, Science & Technology
Tom Bramwell is stepping down as editor-in-chief of Eurogamer. Oli Welsh has been appointed the new editor of the gaming website and Wesley Yin-Poole will become deputy editor
Max Cooter has announced via Twitter that he is to leave Cloud Pro where he is currently editor, to go freelance
