News & Current Affairs

• Telegraph Media Group has announced they are hiring 40 new recruits with many positions in the digital division, while a number of senior positions have been cut, with blogs editor Damian Thompson and former deputy editor Benedict Brogan among those leaving the organisation.
• Adam Sills has been promoted to head of sport at The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph and Telegraph.
• Allister Heath, editor of City A.M. joins TMG as deputy editor in charge of business next month.
• Trinity Mirror has announced the appointment of Pete Picton as editorial director of Mirror Online.
• Alex Brown has been appointed head of content at the Bath Chronicle.
• Ken Duncan has left his role as editor at Buchan Observer. Former deputy editor, Morag Kuc, becomes the new editor.
• Lucy Clarke-Billings is to leave her role as reporter at the Kent & Sussex Courier.
• Sutton Coldfield Observer has changed its name to Royal Sutton Coldfield Observer, following a campaign by the paper to change the town name.

Fashion, Lifestyle & Entertainment

• Becky Gee has been appointed publisher, a newly created role for Red. Currently strategic director fashion and retail at Grazia, Becky will join 19 August.
