- Steven Thompson has been appointed editor at the Lancashire Telegraph. Steven is a former news editor at the Bolton News. He replaces Ian Savage who retains his title as group editor at Newsquest North West but relinquishes direct responsibility for the Lancashire Telegraph
- Claire McKim has been appointed news editor at the Edinburgh Evening News. Claire was previously assistant news editor at The Scotsman
- Lauren Clarke has been appointed assistant news editor at 5 News. Lauren was previously a reporter at the Daily Star
- Jessica Pitocchi has been appointed reporter at HUFFPOST UK. Jessica was previously a duty editor at the Press Association
- Mark Connor has been appointed senior reporter at the Alloa and Hillfoots Advertiser. Mark was previously a reporter at the SWNS
- Shelby Williams has been appointed reporter at the Pembrokeshire Herald
- The Star is moving to new offices in Sheffield city centre. Currently based on York Street, The Star and Sheffield Telegraph’s editorial and sales teams will be moving to The Balance on Pinfold Street. The move is expected to be complete by the end of the year
Business & Finance
- There have been a couple of changes at the Financial Times. Michael Stothard is now the paper’s Madrid bureau chief. Michael was previously the Paris correspondent. He replaces Tobias Buck who now becomes the paper’s Berlin correspondent
- TheBusinessDesk Yorkshire has appointed Kayley Worsley as its new editor. Kayley will take up the position at the end of August from her role as PR and public affairs manager at Leeds Bradford Airport. She replaces deputy editor Clare Burnett, who is joining a digital marketing agency
- James Beech has been promoted to deputy editor at Campden FM. James was previously senior writer/news editor at the title
- Liam Coleman has been appointed digital editor at Duty Free News International. Liam was previously a features writer at the The Morning Advertiser
- Eugenia Jimenez has been appointed Iberia correspondent at InvestmentEurope
Education
- Freddie Whittaker has been promoted to chief reporter at Schools Week. He was previously senior reporter at the title. He replaces John Dickens who is going on sabbatical from 4 August
- There have been a couple of promotions at FE Week. Billy Camden and Jude Burke are now senior reporters at the title having previously been reporters
Property
- Helen Crane has been promoted to deputy news editor at Property Week. She was previously senior reporter at the title
Arts & Entertainment
- Nick Clark has joined THE STAGE as features editor. Nick was previously the arts correspondent at the Independent
Fashion & Beauty
- Daniela Bellanca has returned from maternity leave and is now style editor at Closer magazine having previously been deputy style editor. Matilda Stanley is now deputy style editor at the title
- Sarah Lakos has been appointed social media editor at Stylist
Food
- Good Taste Magazine is set to launch in September. The quarterly publication will focus on the food and drink scene in Merseyside and Cheshire and will be edited by Jade Wright. Jade is a former feature writer at the Liverpool Echo
- Fiona Logan has been appointed editorial coordinator at BBC Good Food. Fiona was previously content editor at Cake International Magazine
- Megan Tatum is now features editor at The Grocer replacing James Halliwell who left the title last week. Megan was previously senior features writer at the title
Lifestyle
- Morag Turner has been appointed editor at Absolutely Mama
- Bryony Bowie has been promoted to staff writer at Tesco Magazine. Bryony was previously editorial assistant at the title
Technology
- Tech City News has now rebranded and gone online only and is now known as UKTN
Travel
- Sophie Lam has been appointed travel editor at the i Paper. Sophie was previously head of travel at the INDEPENDENT and London Evening Standard
Motoring
- Dennis Publishing has announced the launch of Enzo magazine, a new quarterly title, dedicated exclusively to Ferrari. Enzo is produced by the team behind Octane magazine and edited by John Barker with Peter Tomalin as managing editor
